Kochi: The CPM state convention begins today in Kochi. Ananthalawattam Anandan will hoist the flag at 9.30 am in a tent set up at Marine Drive. Party General Secretary Sitaram Yachury will inaugurate the event on the 10th. The inaugural session will be attended by 520 people, including 420 conference delegates, state committee members and special invitees. State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will present the activity report. In the evening, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will present the party outline for the creation of Nava Kerala.
