Craft ideas for Mother’s Day and their step by step

Every May 10 in Guatemala we celebrate the woman who gave us life, who dedicated her life to caring for us and listening to us and it is common that on these dates we want to give her a gift that makes her feel special and that shows our affection and gratitude towards her.
Crafts usually have a characteristic that makes them special: they are original and unique since they are created by ourselves.
Although its preparation will require time, the result will be satisfactory and will make the person who receives it feel more loved.
When making a craft we can use materials that we already have at home, let our imagination fly and create very beautiful things and the best part is that all family members can get involved.
For pre-primary education teacher Olga Salazar, crafts are important since in addition to the gift, the little ones develop their fine motor skills and show their love.
These are some craft ideas that we can make for this Mother’s Day with the whole family:
Keychain for mom
Materials:
- Photograph or drawing
- Cover the plastic
- Pearl
- Keychain ring
- Thread tail of mouse
Procedure:
- Wrap the previously personalized drawing or photograph with a special message for mom. Make sure that when you putty you leave a margin of approximately one centimeter on each side.
- With the help of an adult, open a hole in one of the sides and insert the ring for the keychain.
- Use the mouse thread and pearls to decorate it.
Personalized album
Materials:
- several sheets of paper
- Photographs with mom
- Stickers or decals of our preference
- Cardboard to reinforce the notebook
- A piece of plastic ribbon
- Colored markers
- Scissors and rubber
Procedure:
- Place the leaves together.
- Glue the cardboard reinforcement to the leaves.
- Open holes in one of the edges of the leaves.
- Pass the ribbon through the holes, joining the leaves and tying it at the end.
- Decorate the inside of the album with photographs, stickers with special messages that we want to dedicate to mom.

creative card
Materials:
- colored leaves
- White sheets
- Crayons and colored markers
- Scissors and rubber
Procedure:
- On the white sheets write a special message that we want to give to mom, here we can let our imagination fly, we can include drawings and special messages that we want to dedicate to our mother.
- With the colored leaves we are going to decorate our letter, we can cut out flowers, butterflies or even make an origami figure.
ribbon flowers
Materials:
- Ribbon of various colors
- Silicone gun
- silicone bars
- Sticks and green paint, artificial flower stems or green pipe cleaners
- Scissors
Procedure:
- Cut 12 strips of approximately 4 x 7 ribbon, or you can use a card to make cuts of that size.
- With the help of an adult burn the ends of each ribbon rectangle.
- Fold the tips on each petal and glue them with silicone.
- Join the 12 petals of the eternal rose with silicone forming a strip.
- Then wrap a green painted stick around the strip of petals. You can also use a green pipe cleaner or artificial flower stems.
- Repeat the previous steps depending on the number of flowers you want.
