Crash landing on track – police rescue pilot before train crashes into plane

The recordings show how lucky the pilot was, who suffered bleeding head wounds when he crash-landed in Pacoima, a suburb of the Californian metropolis of Los Angeles. The police dragged the bloodied man, apparently unable to walk alone, out of the damaged Cessna 172 and off the tracks. “Go, go, go, go, go,” shouts one of the officers. Six seconds later, a suburban train drives straight into the plane standing on the tracks.
