Climate activists blocked access to the oil refinery in Cressier NE on Monday morning. The police are on site.

Early Monday morning, climate activists blocked the access roads to Switzerland’s only oil refinery. In front of the refinery in Cressier NE, the activists set up bamboo scaffolding and chained themselves to it.
In a post on Twitter, the “Debt for Climate Switzerland” group acknowledged the blockade. It is time “that Switzerland recognizes its historic role in the climate crisis,” the group continued. Switzerland must “recognize its (neo)colonial role in environmental destruction,” the demands continued.
Already at the weekend blockade
