This Saturday afternoon, a criminal episode was recorded in the commune of Calera de Tango, Metropolitan Region, after a group of antisocials perpetrated an attack against a woman and her 7-year-old daughter.
According to police information, the incident occurred on Lonquén Sur Street, in front of the Cesfam in the aforementioned commune, from where the victim left to go to his car.
At that moment, she was intercepted by another vehicle, from which four teenagers got out. Of these, two intimidated her, one of them with a firearm, ordering the victims to get out of the car.
After complying with the demand, the criminals abandoned the car in which they were traveling and fled in the woman’s vehicle. However, and after advancing a few meters, the driver collided with an interurban passenger bus, an action that made it possible to thwart the crime.
After the road accident, the individuals were able to escape on foot, fleeing through plots of the sector. Despite this, they were searched and detained by Carabineros personnel, seizing a blank weapon, adapted for shooting, with two cartridges that were at the scene.
Likewise, it was reported that the bus driver suffered injuries, although minor, as a result of the traffic accident.
Regarding the procedure, Lieutenant Francisco Burgos, from the 14th Police Station of San Bernardo, indicated that the antisocials “do not have a police record and have not been linked to another robbery that occurred during the day.”
The information about the event was sent to the Public Ministry, and it is expected that during this Sunday the teenagers will be brought to justice.
