On Calle 31 in the Camino del Medio sector, there are several questions in the air and an immense sense of sadness and mystery after the death of Loraine Ramos Peña, 30, on Tuesday, October 11.
The woman was found dead, at 7 in the morning, in the room of her house. She had a bullet wound, apparently, in her head; and the Metropolitan Police confirmed that the firearm, a 38-caliber revolver, was found at the scene. The CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office attended the case and is investigating what happened.

The first version that was handled between relatives and neighbors was a suicide, but the young woman’s family doubts this hypothesis and asks the authorities to investigate thoroughly so that the case does not go unpunished.
Loraine had a 5-year-old son, she was studying health administration and managed an Effecty that was on the first floor of her home.

“My daughter did not commit suicide, my heart feels that. They told me that she had a lot of debts, that she had financial problems, but we know that is not the case. On Sunday, she spoke with an aunt and a cousin and told them that she had complex situations with her partner, her son’s father, for a third person in the relationship, but she did not express a desire to die or anything, “said the mother.
Loraine lived with her husband, who is a military man and currently has shifts in Barranquilla; also with her mother-in-law, who suffers from Alzheimer’s and her little son. “Thank God the boy was visiting a grandmother and did not witness that,” Loraine’s mother added.
The woman was alone in the house, since her husband was working and she supposedly left two written letters that are in the hands of the Prosecutor’s Office.

Relatives of the deceased say that there are many details and confusing information. One of the sisters explained that “when we arrived at the place and entered the room we found it in a mess, there was even blood on the clothes that were inside the window. It looked as if there had been a struggle or fight.”
Another detail that caught their attention is that “supposedly she put the gun in her mouth and pulled the trigger, but we checked and found that there are two bullet impacts in different places. We don’t believe that she shot herself twice, nor that she wrote those letters that she left.”

This medium spoke with several neighbors of the woman and they assured that they did not hear shots. They also said that Loraine was calm, cheerful and quiet. For those close to the victim, it is strange that her husband affirmed that he was on duty, but when they arrived at the scene of the events, he was already present and dressed in civilian clothes.
“The boy had blood on his shoes, as if he had entered the place. He only came to the house every 15 days because he is in the military, but currently they had problems, ”said a sister of Loraine.
