At the beginning of the corona pandemic there was a feverish search for protective equipment when a savior suddenly appeared: the South Tyrolean company Oberalp. But appearances are deceiving. At least hundreds of thousands of faulty protective masks are circulating through Oberalp, and the judiciary is now investigating. The South Tyrolean journalists Christoph Franceschini and Artur Oberhofer examined the case in their book “The Business of Fear”. DER STANDARD spoke to Franceschini, who made a devastating verdict.
