A fire broke out on Sunday morning in a customs services building, in Houdeng-Goegnies, on the Garocentre site. The affected hangar housed equipment seized by Customs, including vehicles. In images that we were able to view, we see five charred cars or vans in a warehouse with blackened walls.

According to our information, the thugs neutralized the alarm system to enter the premises. It is unknown at this stage whether the stolen weapons are those from customs or whether they are a seized arsenal.
At the beginning of November, a theft had already been committed in a customs building in Antwerp. Contacted by us, the Minister of Finance (in charge of customs) Vincent Van Peteghem takes this matter seriously. He said he was waiting for the results of the ongoing investigation before deciding on further measures.
