The turbulence on the world markets drove up the prices of goods enormously last year and with them the incomes of Austrian foresters and farmers rose unusually sharply. In 2022, the profits of agricultural companies amounted to, according to the “Green report” from the Ministry of Agriculture to an average of 45,757 euros – this corresponds to an increase of 42 percent compared to the previous year. For farmers it is the highest income increase in many years.
