If the Spanish daily Marca claims that the contract has not yet been signed but that the agreement is 99% complete, the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiah – as well as the American media CBS Sports – assure that CR7 has already initialed all the documents required. Representatives of Al-Nassr would indeed have come to Madrid this Friday to settle the final details directly with the Portuguese.

According to them, the formalization of the agreement will take place this Saturday, December 31, after the duel between Al-Nassr and Al Khaleej, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (Belgian time), or Sunday, January 1. The five-time Ballon d’Or, released by Manchester United last November, will thus receive nearly 200 million euros (+ 100 million euros on signing) spread over two and a half years to evolve in the star club of Riyadh, the Saudi capital.
There, the captain of Portugal will be under the orders of French coach Rudi Garcia (ex-Lille, Lyon, Marseille and Rome), and will notably share the locker room with Cameroonian international Vincent Aboubakar, Brazilian defensive midfielder Luiz Gustavo (ex-Bayern) or former Napoli goalkeeper David Ospina.
The striker, who will turn 38 next February, is expected to make his debut sometime in January.
