AMSTERDAM, June 15, WAM/ The Croatian national team qualified for the final match of the European Football Championship, by defeating its Dutch counterpart 4-2 yesterday, Wednesday, in the semi-finals of the tournament.
The Croatian national team will meet in the final match with the qualifier from the confrontation scheduled for Thursday evening between the Italian and Spanish teams in the semi-finals.
The Croatian national team qualified yesterday at the Feyenoord stadium in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, after coming from behind with a clean goal in the first half to win 4-2 in extra time, after the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Dutch national team advanced with a clean goal in the first half, scored by Doniyal Malin in the 34th minute, and the Croatian national team responded in the second half with two goals scored by Andrei Kramaric and Mario Pasalic in the 55th and 73rd minutes from a penalty kick, but Noah Lang scored the equalizing goal for the Netherlands in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
In overtime, Bruno Petkovic and Luka Modric scored the winning goals and qualified for the Croatia national team in the 98th and 116th minutes from a penalty kick.
