And the Italian newspaper “Sport Fair” revealed that Comsic decided to donate 70 percent of his liver to save her from death, a step that would end his football career since he would be unable to make any physical effort while he was in this condition.
The young striker carried the colors of Sibalia club in the Croatian second division, and previously played in the ranks of Rudesh and Istria 1961, but he preferred to preserve his mother’s health in return for retiring at the age of 23.
The player underwent successful surgery in Turkey, and expressed his happiness with what he accepted despite the end of his career, and said: “Everything went well, I feel fine and my mother is enjoying a new life after the battle with the disease.”
Regarding his retirement, he added, “I do not care about the idea of my retirement, I knew the seriousness of the situation and the inability to play football again, but I wanted my mother to be in a better condition, I underwent three liver transplants before and they were unsuccessful, but today she is in good condition.”
