Crossing the 5% participation threshold

The Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) announced on Friday that the company British International Investment plc has crossed directly downwards the threshold of 5% participation in the capital of Bank Of Africa (BOA).

“The AMMC informs the public that the company British International Investment plc, declared to have sold on the central market, on February 14, 2023, 791,500 BOA shares at a unit price of 151 dirhams, crossing directly downwards the threshold of 5% stake in the capital of the said bank”, indicates the Authority in a press release.

Following this transaction, British International Investment plc declares that it holds 10,412,113 BOA shares, or 4.98% of the capital of the said bank, the same source said.

In the six months following the crossing of the aforementioned threshold, the company British International Investment plc plans to stop its disposals on the BOA value, the press release concludes.
