For several weeks these birds have been attacking anyone who gets in their way, including residents of a neighborhood retirement home.

Marie-Claude is also a victim of these birds. “Now I go out with a double hat. And then I’m a little ashamed, but I also go out with my fly swatter to defend myself rather than with my hands.”

Why do crows attack these passers-by?

It is not yet clear why crows attack passers-by. But Monette, 96, has her own theory. “Since the big trees were cut down, they (the crows, editor’s note) have fallen back on the plane trees on the avenue de Chambéry and they are becoming very aggressive”. she confides in the Dauphiné Libéré.
