A key battle is currently being played out in the Donbass in Ukraine, but it is being played out with unequal weapons due to the much greater number of materials on the side of the Russian army.

A number of weapons that cannot be estimated according to this specialist.

“I was trained in military intelligence by people who fought against the Soviets and there is a situation that arose in East Germany. Military intelligence had estimated about 500 vehicles. When East Germany separated, we discovered 1126 vehicles to our surprise. We were wrong by a factor of two and that is Russian logic,” said Simon Leduc, a former military intelligence officer.

Ukraine, which continues to resist, will have to pursue this impossible mission without seeing magical help arriving from the West.

“The West has no more weapons. We may want to send some, but we don’t have many left. The Javelin missiles that are used. There are 45,000 that have been manufactured and we have supplied 6,000 to Ukraine and 6,000 to Iraq, in addition to having tried them in training, so there are not many left. If we want more, they will be manufactured in a year or two. We gave the equipment that we could give, ”says the former officer.

This specialist is not very optimistic to see a positive outcome in this war in Ukraine.

“Perhaps we should have started sending weapons to Ukraine five years ago. We should perhaps not have sold the 1000 tanks in Germany which today are no longer there,” he said.
