According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, trading in February was at USD75.22 per barrel at the time of writing, rising by 2.26%.

The session was previously traded at USD76.18 per barrel. It may find support points at USD72.44 and resistance at USD76.18.

Dollar Index contracts, which measure the US currency’s performance against a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.23% to trade at USD101.11.

At the same time on Nymex, the price for March rose by 2.23% to trade at USD80.56 per barrel, while the spread between contracts stood at USD5.34 per barrel.
