“Custard apple”… a fruit with exceptional properties!

With the variety of options available, the question remains: Which fruits are the most beneficial to the body?

Some may think that oranges, which are rich in vitamin C, or pomegranates, known for their antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, are the most nutritious. But a lesser-known fruit outperformed many fruits in the health and nutrition rankings, as it earned the title of “the most nutritious food in the world,” which is the cherimoya fruit, which received a nutritional score of 96 out of 100, according to a BBC report.

Cherimoya is sometimes known as the “custard apple” because of its creamy, custard-like texture. From the outside, the fruit appears conical and green in color, with a rough outer surface, while hidden inside is a sweet and creamy core that is often eaten with a spoon.

Healthline praised the cherimoya fruit for its antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, and minerals that provide many health benefits.

Studies indicate that this fruit may boost the immune system, contribute to reducing inflammation, and support heart and eye health. However, reports warn that some parts of the cherimoya fruit contain toxins that may harm the nervous system if eaten in large quantities.

In addition, cherimoya is a rich source of vitamin B6, known for its ability to improve mood, and is also full of fiber, which contributes to improving digestion and intestinal health.

Furthermore, cherimoya contains flavonoids that studies have shown to possess anti-cancer properties, as it has been shown to be able to stop the growth of cancer cells in laboratory settings.
