With the implementation of indigenization, only 100% Saudi nationals should be employed in customer care service professions in organizations that interact with customers over the phone. The Ministry has suggested that Saudis should also be appointed to high posts in such institutions.

The other day, Saudi Arabia introduced indigenization in the postal service sector. An order to implement nationalization in the country’s postal service sector and parcel delivery sector has come into force in Saudi Arabia. This order came into effect from Saturday, December 17, 2022. This was clarified by the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

In the first phase of implementation of this order, nationalization will be implemented in fourteen postal services in the country. This step is part of the policy to create more employment opportunities for Saudi nationals. Occupations like cleaning, loading etc. are exempted from the purview of indigenization. The decision will also affect areas such as e-delivery, express mail, postal room management, private postal services, local and international parcel delivery.
