Tel Aviv: Cyber attack by unknown persons on Israel’s emergency phone service. Israeli media reported that service was disrupted for several hours.
Israel’s national emergency health and disaster management, ambulance and blood bank service, the Magen David Adom (MDA), and several emergency phone numbers, including paramedic and fire services, were attacked last night. “The Magan David Adom (MDA), police and fire rescue services in Israel have all been disrupted following a cyber attack,” the Jerusalem Post reported. The Times of Israel reported that they were restored following a long effort.
Besec Telecommunication Company, the service provider, also came forward to confirm the incident. The company said its engineers are working to restore all services.
