Cyberpunk 2077’s 2.2 Update Delivers Customization Expansion and Immersive Brand-New Photo Mode Features

Night City just received a major update. CD Projekt Red has unveiled a host of exciting new features, quality-of-life improvements, and surprisingly, yet to be discovered secrets.

The 2.2 update, freely accessible now across PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 platforms, focuses heavily on player expression.

CrystalCoat™ technology, previously limited to Rayfield vehicles, has been expanded. Players can now unleash their inner designer by customizing a wider selection of vehicles including the Herrera, Mizutani, Quadra, and Villefort. The new customization options let players truly personalize by adjusting the Intensity slider to emphasize the paint job’s unique details.

Personal Characteristic customization is also emphasized, adding options like new eye colours, nail colours, tattoos, and makeup, ensuring V’s appearance truly reflects the player.

Photo Mode receives a significant update. Players can now find solace in capturing Night City’s breathtaking vistas – a portrait mode that allows V to share dreamy memories with three NPCs. Showcase these masterfully crafted images in-game via SmartFrames™.
