2.6%: this was the unemployment rate in March in the Czech Republic according to figures published this week by Eurostats, the European statistics institute. The country is, among the 27 members of the European Union, the one where this rate is the lowest.
For the whole of the European Union, the unemployment rate rose to 6% in March, like the previous month. This rate fell sharply in Europe from mid-2021 thanks to the strong post-Covid recovery that followed a historic recession.
