“I came to Egypt in 1997 on a trip,” Materková explains. “At that time, there were few opportunities for Czechs to visit Egypt. But I fell in love with the country, with the people, and with the climate. After a while, I decided to make egypt my home. I had diverse experience working in tourism and then started looking for a possibility to establish my own business. I noticed there was a lack of authentic Czech cuisine in Egypt, and I saw an opportunity.That’s how Cafe Prague was born. “
