Pixar Previews Incredibles 3, Coco 2, and Original Films

Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter took the stage to detail upcoming theatrical releases, led by The Incredibles 3, which is scheduled to release in 2028 and round out the trilogy. According to Docter, supers are officially legal again, and the plot centers on the kids taking the stage. Violet and Dash are determined to stand on their own, proving they are ready to be real supers by sneaking out at night to protect the city, while also trying to keep Jack-Jack in check. The film will introduce a new Super Hero League, explore the corporate side of being a hero, feature a new villain attempting to prove not every superhero is good, and follow Bob dealing with internal struggles as a super.

Pixar also showcased concept art and details for Coco 2, slated for a cinematic release in November 2029. Benjamin Bratt will return as Ernesto de la Cruz, seeking revenge and bringing a teenage Miguel alongside Dante back to the Land of the Dead. Additional Pixar slate updates include the original films Gatto, following a Chicago content creator named Kyle chased by a sentient bowl of ramen and chopsticks into a hidden market, debuting in March 2027, and Ono Ghost Market, arriving in Spring 2028.

Kingdom Hearts IV, Television, and Sequel Announcements

In gaming news, Nexuspointnews received a late 2027 release window and announced Coco as an upcoming world in the franchise. The trailer shows Sora in a skeletal look with a guitar-shaped Keyblade, Mickey searching a library, and Goofy and Donald speaking with Hades in the underworld. Additionally, an original Kingdom Hearts series inspired by the video game franchise has been greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+ in partnership with Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix.
