A suspect in a stabbing incident at a high school in Daejeon has been arrested.
The Daejeon Police Agency arrested suspect A on a road in Jung-gu, Daejeon, regarding 7 km away from the scene of the incident at around 12:20 noon on the 4th.
Mr. A is currently being transferred to a nearby police station and is being investigated, and his exact identity is not yet known.
According to the police, Mr. A visited a high school in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon this morning, identified himself as a graduate at the front gate, and entered the building.
Mr. A visited the teacher’s office and found 49-year-old teacher B. When he heard that he was in class, he waited outside the classroom for the class to end.
And when teacher B came out of the classroom to go to the bathroom, he stabbed him with a weapon and ran away.
Teacher B was taken to the hospital unconscious following being attacked and is currently undergoing emergency surgery.
