D’Angelo Russell from Wolves to Lakers

According to ESPN, the Lakers will also get Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt from Minnesota, while the Timberwolves will get Mike Conley and Nickeil Alexander-Walker from the Utah Jazz, plus draft rounds.

Besides Westbrook, the Jazz would win in this deal Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones and a future first-round pick from the Lakers.

Westbrook would thus end his failed stay in Los Angeles following only one and a half season.

The 2017 MVP, nine-time All-Star, was never the intended complement to LeBron James and Anthony Davis and even ended up on the bench for the Lakers who might miss the play-offs for the second year in a row.

To avoid this, the LA franchise is counting on the address of D’Angelo Russell, whom it drafted in 2015.

Russell is averaging 17.9 points and 6.2 assists for Minnesota this season and will be a free agent at the end of the season when his $31.4 million contract expires.
