A situation that is absurd to say the least, and truly dangerous in Schaerbeek. On a cycle path leading to Diamant coming from Montgomery, we find on the cycle path… a concrete block. Which forces cyclists to move aside. The situation was noted by our editorial staff this Friday late followingnoon.

Contacted, the Schaerbeek alderman for Mobility appeared shocked. “My first impression is that this is an act of vandalism which causes a dangerous situation,” Adelheid Byttebier (Groen) tells us. The agent calls on citizens to report this type of situation to the police or via the FixMyStreet application.
