Daniel Ricciardo’s Injury Recovery: Updates on His Return and Simulator Tests

2023-09-29 10:46:00

At the last round in Suzuka, AlphaTauri chief race engineer Jonathan Eddolls said that the team would not force Daniel Ricciardo’s return to the wheel because they wanted the Australian driver to fully recover from his injuries.

Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner has already expressed doubt that Ricciardo will start the Qatar Grand Prix, and Daniel himself expects to return behind the wheel in a few weeks, although the exact date will become known following simulator tests next week.

“The upcoming work on the simulator will be the first test that will assess my condition,” PerthNow quotes Daniel Ricciardo as saying. – Afterwards it will be possible to plan further actions.

I definitely want to go back in the next few weeks. That’s the plan. I’ll probably know more precisely early next week.”
