Riyadh: On the occasion of the 82nd birth anniversary of Gandharvan Padma Shri Yesudas, Riyadh performed a musical evening at the Golden Melodies Riyadh New Malas Restaurant Auditorium under the banner of Naira Sounds Riyadh.
The musical evening featuring Riyadh’s favorite singers was a resounding success for the audience. The singers sang selected famous songs of Yesudas in many languages. Accompanied by Tamburu Nadam, the presenter reads the biography of Sajin Nishan Yesudas.
Most of the songs were melodic, classical and semi – classical.
Jalil Cochin, Shaan Perumbavoor, Altaf Calicut, Noufal Vadakara, Hilal Abdul Salam, Mohammad Hafeez and Alina Lawrence also sang Yesudas’ famous songs and captivated the audience.
Journalist Jayan Kodungallur inaugurated the cultural program, Abdul Salam Dassett cut the birthday cake, Dr. Jayachandran, Shamnad Karunagapally, Ayuba Karupadana and Navas Opis addressed the function. .Jalil Cochin welcomed and Thankachan Varghese thanked. Many music lovers in Riyadh came to enjoy the music of the Dassette songs that followed.
Lawrence Arakkal, Abdul Salam, Shinoj Bathery and Robin Mathai moderated the program.
