Datsik was brutally thrown over the ropes. I even had to get on all fours

The opponent gave Red Tarzan a real thrashing and took the victory.

Today it is almost impossible to imagine that the 120-pound Vyacheslav Datsik is able to head over heels from the ring after a blow. But the outrageous fighter did not always have such a fat complexion.

In the early stages of his career, Red Tarzan was a fit young man. And fights with his participation took place at times according to a fantastic scenario. In one of these confrontations, Vyacheslav lost to a hefty opponent, flying out for the ropes during the battle.

Rivals The Devil’s Advocate

In 2003, Russian mixed martial artist Vyacheslav Datsik focused on Muay Thai. At the Arbat Cup “Survival-5”, which took place in February, he fought with several other rivals for a very solid fee of 250 thousand rubles at that time.

The opponent of Red Tarzan in the qualifying match was the titled kickboxer Eduard “Devil’s Advocate” Voznovich, who surpassed the opponent in both size and weight. By that time, the Belarusian fighter could boast of three national kickboxing champion titles. He also won the championship and the cup of Belarus in hand-to-hand combat.

A small problem for the “Devil’s Advocate” could be the fact that he first took part in fights of this format. By this time, Datsik had 11 fights at the Arbat tournaments, although he won less than half.

Missed and flew over the ropes

Already in the first seconds of the fight, it became clear that the audience was in for a fiery confrontation. After the exchange of low kicks, Datsik made an attempt to go to the feet and throw the opponent out of the ring. But the judge intervened in the case. At the same time, when the rivals dispersed, Datsik still managed to strike a knee in the liver.

The payoff came quickly. Woznovich’s jab hit right in the jaw. Vyacheslav lost his balance, but tried to hit backhand. It didn’t end well for him. The Devil’s Advocate dodged, and Datsik flew between the ropes and ended up outside the ring. The Russian even needed a little help from a doctor who “froze” the back of the fighter’s head.

Then Vyacheslav tried several more times to get to his feet. One of the attempts was even crowned with success. He lifted his opponent over his head, but quickly got hit by a hammerfist on the crown. Falling into the ring, the fighters mutually tried to hold painful holds, but this did not bring results.

In the second round, the fighters also did not take much time to build up. Crazy force blows flew in both directions from different positions. Vyacheslav even managed to break through the opponent from the outside of the ropes, and then also hit the lying Voznovich with his knees, which was prohibited by the rules of the tournament. “Devil’s Advocate” these tricks of the opponent only angered. Towards the end of the segment, he already checked Datsik’s ribs for strength, powerfully hitting his knee. Vyacheslav was even knocked down.

The third round began with another bravado Datsik. He leaned his elbows on the ropes and waited for activity from the opponent. He was very lucky that Voznovich did not attack at that moment. By this segment, the forces were already leaving the fighters, and there was an order of magnitude more fuss in the clinch.

In the final round, an extraordinary event took place, which is almost impossible to imagine today. Datsik missed the jab and began to back away. At that moment, the Devil’s Advocate threw a kick in pursuit. An accurate hit gave Vyacheslav momentum, and he flew head over heels through the ropes.

The return to the ring was given to Red Tarzan with great difficulty. He crawled in on all fours. It is natural that the ending was left to the more recent Voznovich. Datsik only shook the air with backhand blows.

As a result, the judges chose the Devil’s Advocate as the winner of the fight. This guaranteed him a place in the playoffs. Miraculously, Datsik was also there. He was given a second chance, which he failed to take advantage of, losing in the next battle.
