The Dodgers reached a $6.5 million, one-year deal Friday with outfielder David Peralta, according to a report by ESPN’s Jeff Passan. The club has not confirmed.
Peralta finished 2022 with a .251 batting average, 12 home runs and a .731 OPS through 134 games. His production waned after he was traded in July from the D-backs to the Rays, as he hit .255 with no homers and a .652 OPS with Tampa Bay.
Since setting a career-high 30 home runs and winning a Silver Slugger with Arizona in 2018, the left-handed hitter has hit just 37 home runs in 437 games over the past four years, though he still managed to post a 104 OPS+ in that span. .
Peralta is a career batting .281/.339/.457 and won a Gold Glove in 2019.
