Germany lost to Switzerland 3-2 in the Davis Cup qualifiers.

And following German Olympic champion Alexander Zverev defeated Stanislas Wawrinka, winner of 3 titles in major tournaments, last Friday, to equalize the score 1-1, Zverev did not succeed in returning to his usual level and lost to Marc-Andrea Hassler, with a score of 2-6, 6-7.

The two teams drew 2-2 as the duo of Andreas Maisz and Tim Putz beat Wawrinka and Stricker.

During the decisive match between Daniel Altmaier and Wawrinka, the Swiss player defeated his German opponent, who played for the first time in the Davis Cup, with a score of 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.

The Swiss team qualified for the group stage, which in turn qualifies for the finals.
