Summer time in Israel came into effect tonight (between Thursday and Friday), and at 2:00 the hands of the clock were moved forward one hour to 3:00. Daylight saving time will remain in effect for about seven months, until the end of October.

Cell phone owners who do not set “automatic network time”, or users who do not trust the automatic update mechanism, can update the time on their devices manually. Even after switching to manual setting, you can always return the mobile device to automatic date and time synchronization mode.
Android
The Android menus are not the same in all models, but in most cases the time settings will be found in the general settings menu of the device or in the clock settings. In the Settings menu, click on “Date & Time”. Then the automatic date and time option must be disabled, and then the appropriate time zone must be selected – Jerusalem – and the time and date must be set manually.
iPhone
In the Settings menu, click on “General”. You must select “Date & Time” and cancel the “Set Automatically” option. Then click on the appropriate time zone and set the clock manually.
