Colombia’s Once Caldas is preparing a great tribute to Dayro Moreno to commemorate his achievement of becoming the top scorer in the history of Colombian professional football, reaching an impressive total of 225 goals last Saturday against Independiente Medellín.

The former Talleres striker surpassed the record of 224 goals that was held by Sergio Galván Rey, who, like him, is an idol of Once Caldas.

The tribute ceremony will take place on Monday, March 25, from 1:30 pm at the Palogrande Stadium, just before the match against Alianza FC corresponding to matchday 13 of the Betplay Dimayor League.

The 38-year-old forward accumulates eight goals in 12 games played with Once Caldas de Manizales in the current Apertura Tournament and has 335 goals in his professional career, including 225 in the FPC, three with the Colombian National Team and the rest in other clubs internationals in which he has played: Athletico Paranaense (BRA), Steaua Bucarest (ROU), Xolos de Tijuana (MEX), Talleres and Oriente Petrolero (BOL).
