“Dreams do come true!”,

were the words of the father of a 9-year-old girl who fulfilled her dream of meeting her favorite drummer, Taylor Hawkinswho died in Bogotá during the night of Friday, March 25.

It is a story that moves hearts, because the father of a minor named Emma campaigned for his daughter to meet the great artisttaking advantage of the fact that they were on their concert tour of the continent.

Emma took her battery to the hotel on March 22 and luckily Taylor Hawkins heeded her call and went downstairs to find her.

“My daughter, since she found out that the Foo Fighters were coming, started a campaign to meet them. Today we took her drums to play in front of the Sheraton and look who came out at her call. Dreams come true”

These are the words of Julio Peralta, Emma’s father.

Given the recent news of the musician’s death, the father shared a trill where he explains that it is a very painful fact to tell his daughter:

“We are devastated. I don’t know how to tell this to Emma.”

It is important to remember that Foo Fighters confirmed through social networks the death of his drummer, who was 50 years old. The lifeless body of the famous musician was found in a hotel located in the north of Bogotá.

“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laugh will live with us all forever. (…) Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family”
