“Peace is a priceless good that we must cherish,” declared Prime Minister Alexander De Croo this Saturday, during the 105th anniversary of the Armistice at the Menin Gate in Ypres.

“Peace is a good that has no price and that we must cherish, this is what the great wars teach us. Even today, nWe see innocent victims falling in conflicts on our eastern and southern borders“, said Mr. De Croo, in reference to the Russian war in Ukraine and that between Israel and Hamas in the Middle East.
“We will not be able to stop extremism and hatred, which are the main causes of conflicts and wars, only if we respect each other and show solidarity. Our respect and great gratitude are more than justified for those who gave their lives so that today we can live in peace,” he added.
