Dead by Daylight’s killers are about to get even meaner

Dead by Daylight received an update on November 22, 2022, which not only brought a new chapter, but also a cool feature: you can now practice killers before you have to jump into the PvP match.

Who before one bought a new killer or started as a killer from scratch, had to compete directly against other players. You could read everything about the killer including his perks, but only test them in the real match.

With update 6.4.0 comes the change that can change your entire existence as a killer. If you’re new, you can practice with bots first and don’t have to embarrass yourself in PvP matches because you always miss or don’t understand your perks properly.

Compete against up to 4 bots

How can I practice as a killer? You click on “Custom Game” in the main menu. There you choose in the bar on the left that you want to play as a killer. By clicking on the respective plus, you can add 1-4 bots, for which a random survivor will be chosen.

Alternatively, you can still invite friends.

It is also exciting that you have all the perks at the highest level available in the adapted game. This way you can try out what exactly you want to play and level up when it comes down to it later.

How good are the bots? Different levels of difficulty cannot currently be set. The bots play okay when you’re just starting out with a killer. They diligently repair generators, heal each other and run away from you. They even knock over pallets. However, they often leave each other hooked, but real players occasionally do too.

Update also brings a new Killer and Survivor

With the DLC “Forged in Fog” a new killer came into play: the knight. As the trailer revealed, the knight can summon guardians to assist him. To do this, he goes into “summon mode” and can summon 3 different guardians, who always appear in a fixed order. He then sets out a path for them to patrol.

Alternatively, the knight can task the guardian with destroying a specific object, such as a palette. Then the guard appears, performs the action and disappears again.

There is also a new survivor in Dead by Daylight. He is called Vittorio Toscano and comes with 3 perks as usual. You can read more about Killer and Survivor perks here.

What do you think about the fact that killers can now be practiced? Will you use the feature or have you already tried it? Did a bot manage to escape you? Which killer would you like to improve with the feature and then play him in the real match? Write it to us in the comments here on MeinMMO!
