The Israeli authorities said that two terrorist attacks took place within hours, claiming the lives of people, as a driver collided with pedestrians along the popular park in Tel Aviv, killing one person and injuring others.
In the West Bank, two British Israeli sisters were killed and their mother seriously wounded in a shooting. In response, Netanyahu ordered the Israeli police to call up all border reserve units.
The United States, the United Nations and other members of the international community also called for restraint and calm.
