Lightning strikes and rain killed 12 people and injured 15 others in Pakistan in the early hours of this morning, as the country is exposed to bad weather ahead of the monsoon season.

The Pakistani Geo channel reported that the lightning claimed the lives of 10 people, including children, and injured seven people in Punjab province.

Heavy rains in the city of Lahore damaged 150 energy supplies. On the other hand, residents face multiple problems such as power outages and flooded roads.

Intermittent rains continued in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, resulting in the death of a woman and the injury of six others, following the collapse of the roof of a house in Takhta Bank village in Buner district.
