During the night from Wednesday to Thursday, a new shooting took place in Anderlecht. It happened around 1 a.m. on rue Wayez.
A man driving a car was hit by another car. The occupants of this second car got out and then opened fire on the individual using Kalashnikovs. The individual was shot 17 times and did not survive.
In total, 19 shell casings were found by investigators on site.
“Our services were indeed called yesterday evening around 1:10 a.m. to rue Wayez in Anderlecht for a shooting. The victim died on the spot as a result of his injuries. The suspects fled and a vehicle of the same type was found on fire further. The laboratory has arrived on site and the Federal Judicial Police are leading the investigation”, indicates Sarah Frederickx of the Brussels South Police Zone to our colleagues at HLN.
The car of the four perpetrators of the shooting was found on fire, rue de la Semence, still in Anderlecht.
