“Deadly Stampede during Charity Money Distribution in Yemen”

At least 70 people were killed and 110 injured in a stampede in the Yemeni capital, the incident took place during a charity money distribution, local media confirmed, following Yemen’s Houthi rebels released the number of victims.

A health official also reported that the incident occurred in the Bab al Yemen area, and that the deceased and injured were taken to nearby hospitals and the people responsible for the charity distribution were taken into police custody, says the Ministry of the Interior in a published statement. by the rebel news agency, Saba.

The authorities requested an investigation of the facts. And although there are few details, according to the Ministry, dozens of people died due to a stampede during a random distribution of money by some merchants.

The videos published through social networks show the large number of corpses lying on the ground and people crying out around them.
