This was preceded by extensive investigations and observations by the Vienna State Criminal Police Office, North Branch, the State Police Directorate reported in a broadcast on Saturday. When he tried to sell “weed” to a buyer, the alleged dealer was caught red-handed and taken out of circulation.
As police spokesman Markus Dittrich said in response to an APA request, the 21-year-old – an Austrian citizen – may have had “regular customers” at the school. At least ten customers are said to have bought from him regularly. In the 21-year-old’s apartment, the police were able to seize 62 grams of cannabis herb and 705 euros in cash.
The problem at the school had been known for a long time
During the interrogation, the 21-year-old confessed. He was reported at large by order of the Vienna public prosecutor’s office. The “drug problem” had apparently been known at the school in question for a long time. Corresponding complaints had reached the school management and also the district administration and were passed on to the police, which was the starting point for the investigation.
