These are “unsympathetic facts” which Lancelot is accused of. Between February and June 2022, the latter is suspected of having adopted harassing behavior by telephone with his ex-wife, as soon as the latter announced that she wanted to end their marriage. Lancelot is accused of several written and voice messages, as well as the publication on Facebook of a medical document concerning his ex-wife. Among the messages retained, one was particularly threatening.
Alcohol and anger don’t mix
“If you complain, I will fuck you. I’m going to kill your whole family, except the children,” Lancelot suggested on the victim’s answering machine. Enough to traumatize the latter, preventing her from coming to court on Monday morning to listen to her ex-husband’s explanations. The latter admits to having threatened, “under the influence of anger and alcohol”, but swears not to have harassed the mother of his children.
As a child, it is still a question when discussing the context. “He experienced the divorce and no longer having news from his children extremely badly. He was looking to have it,” confirms Me Vander Eyden, Lancelot’s lawyer. Already convicted for the destruction of the same victim’s vehicle, the defendant will unsurprisingly receive a new sentence on January 15. Taking into account Lancelot’s recidivism, but also the particular context and the climate of terror established by the latter, a year in prison is requested.
The defense hopes to obtain evidentiary measures and an acquittal for the “non-existent” harassment in the case.
