Death of accused under custody in Derakhshan police station, remand of involved officials approved, SP Clifton fugitive – Pakistan

On the issue of the death of the accused under custody in Derakhshan Police Station, the Judicial Magistrate South produced the accused former SHO Derakhshan Ali Raza and Head Muharar Faisal Leghari who were involved in the case in Derakhshan Police Station.

In the Karachi City Court, the Judicial Magistrate South granted the 3-day physical remand of the arrested accused and handed them over to the police.

The investigating officer requested the physical remand of the accused and said that the CCTV footage should be taken from the accused.

The lawyer of the accused, Salahuddin Paiwar Advocate, stated that the victim did not die in custody, the accused was not subjected to torture in the police station. The accused was arrested by SIP Sanaullah.

The court sought a progress report from the investigating officer on the next hearing. The investigating officer requested for 14-day remand of the accused, but the court granted 3-day physical remand and handed over the accused to the police.
