Death of filmmaker Danic Champoux

Quebec filmmaker Danic Champoux died on Friday, his relatives said in a press release on Saturday.

“It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our friend, our brother, director Danic Champoux […] His departure creates a great void among all those who knew him,” reads the press release.

Known for his career in the Quebec cultural milieu, Danic Champoux has, among other things, participated in “La Course destination monde” and has signed films such as “CHSLD, Mon Amour” in 2020, “La fille du cratère” in 2019, “Conte du Centre-Sud” in 2016, “Self-portrait without me” in 2014, “Mom and me” in 2011 and “My father” in 2000.

Danic Champoux leaves to mourn his wife and four children.
