Jean-Claude Joly, emblematic candidate of Love is in the meadow discovered in season 6 of the M6 program, was found dead on his farm located in the village of La Frenaye, near Lillebonne, in Normandy. According to information from Courier Cauchois, the farmer would have hanged himself in the barn of his farm on the night of Friday 24 to Saturday 25 June. He leaves behind his wife Maudmet through the speed-dating show, as well as their daughter Charlotte, now almost eight years old.
