Figurehead of economic journalism and omnipresent voice of Africa in the environmental struggle for nearly 30 years, also one of the first presenters of the JT on the small screen in Mauritania, Sid’El Moctar Cheiguer died this Wednesday, March 29 running in Niamey, the capital of Niger.
President of ANEJ, a network of African journalists for the environment, Cheiguer has distinguished himself by his unwavering commitment to a green planet, especially for the African continent where the awareness of both leaders and people of environmental challenges is non-existent.
May Allah the Almighty welcome him to His Paradise.
