The crisis of the song “I am Bass” – which erupted last September between the Lebanese artist Elissa and her compatriot Ziad Burji – reappeared, after the statements made by “Ziad”, and the confirmation of the artist Haifa Wehbe, her support for Elissa’s position.

The artist Ziad Bourji, during his appearance on the “Anonymous” program, confirmed that he had received death threats through phone calls, the first of which was from a person who identified himself as Mohamed Abdel Karim, who spoke with an Egyptian accent, explaining that he heard a woman’s voice in the background of the call.

“Burji” announced his resort to the judiciary in order to obtain his right and protect his family, requesting assistance in identifying the voice of the caller.

Burji called on the concerned authorities to help him obtain the voiceprint of the owner of the threatening call, saying: “So that I can know this character who speaks the Egyptian dialect, is he Egyptian and the female voice that appeared in the broadcast, which is clear that it is not Egyptian, may be Lebanese.”

He continued: “I ask the fans to help me if they suspect someone’s voice, and I ask any person who has experience to help us, and this recording is legitimate and anyone can verify it.”

Burji, during the meeting, confirmed that the dispute over a song with Elisa had become small in view of what he was exposed to by those who stormed the “sanctity of his home.”

Haifa Wehbe

Actress Haifa Wehbe, for her part, commented on the crisis, saying: “Surely I am with Elissa, but I do not know the details of the problem, but I do not like two people from Lebanon to be upset with each other because they present sweet art with each other, and their problem must resemble their art and have this sweet feeling that makes them They forgive each other, but I don’t see any need for problems.”

official notification

The artist, Elissa, announced last September, through her legal agent, the filing of a lawsuit against the artist, Ziad Burji, and the poet Ahmed Madi, accusing them of infringing on her artistic and literary property rights with regard to the song “I am Bass”.

The statement issued by Elisa’s lawyer stated that Ziad Bourji and Ahmed Madi had waived all their artistic and literary rights and each of them obtained, in return, their material rights resulting from the said waiver.

The statement added that Borji and Madi republished the song under the title “Webtair”, although all legal documents confirm the illegality of broadcasting and publishing the song “Watair” because it is the official song of the artist Elissa, the owner and owner of the song.
