CO2 is not only the cause of global warming. It can also be the source of technological innovations to decarbonize buildings. In the midst of the energy crisis, an unprecedented installation was presented on Tuesday at the Energypolis Campus. This thermal network was developed and deployed by the HES-SO Valais and the Valais branch of EPFL, in collaboration with the start-up ExerGo and the regional companies Zero-C and Oiken. At a cost of 4 million francs, the project benefits from the support of the Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) and the canton of Valais. Industrial partners also participated in the financing.
