Defective 3D printer caused house fire in Tyrol – Austria

St. Johann in Tirol – A technical defect in a 3D printer caused an apartment fire in an apartment building in St. Johann in Tirol (Kitzbühel district) on Friday evening. Shortly before 8:30 p.m., two residents of the building heard explosive noises coming from one of the apartments, from which smoke then came. The two residents then made an emergency call and started evacuating the house. No people were injured.
