Woj Bomb since according to the insider the Spurs and the Hawks made a deal for a trade of Dejounte Murray. The Spurs point guard arrives in Georgia in exchange for three first round draft picks (2025, 2027 and 2023 via Charlotte, protected), a trade of choice (2026) and the Italian Danilo Gallinari.
For a few days it had been rumored that the Spurs were open to a transfer from the All-Star and had discussions with the Hawks. Marc Stein announced a few minutes ago that a trade was imminent with Atlanta, the Knicks and the Wolves on the file.
The direction seems clear for Spurs, a deep rebuild. Note that Danilo Gallinari’s contract is not fully guaranteed if it is cut today.
